YMJJ Retreat with Zen Master Dae Kwang

Join us at our fall YMJJ retreat being led by our Guiding Teacher, Zen Master Dae Kwang. The retreat will run from Saturday, October 20, 2017 8:00 AM-9:40 PM, and continue through Sunday,October 21, 2018, 8:00 AM-3:00 PM. Vegetarian meals are provided at the retreat. Sleeping space is available at no extra charge at GLZC or members’ homes. Those planning on staying at GLZC should bring a sleeping bag, pillow and washcloth/towel. Heart Kyol Che Opening Ceremony

Kyol Che is a traditional Korean Zen retreat. The name means “tight dharma” or “coming together.” In Korea, it is the three-month winter and summer periods when monks and nuns do intensive sitting practice in the mountain temples. The Providence Zen Center holds two Kyol Che retreats annually, with students sitting up to three months in the winter and four weeks in the summer.
