The Whole World is a Single Flower Conference
October 8 - October 15
As practicing Zen Buddhists, we directly perceive that everything changes. Without doing anything, myriads of changes incessantly come and go in our daily lives. But in the last 10 years we have increasingly awakened to immense changes happening on our planet: climate changes, decreasing biodiversity, increased pollution among many others. We will look very closely at these changes in our Whole World is a Single Flower Event in 2017. The Kwan Um School of Zen Sanghas and communities as well as other participants will share with each other concerns, ideas, and solutions regarding these changes. We will take part in lively discussions and role-playing forums leading to possible solutions and to what we can do.
Everyone is warmly invited to come and greet old friends and make new friends in beautiful Providence Zen Center, the original temple-home for the Kwan Um School of Zen Sanghas. Let’s exchange concerns and solutions, see the New England nature, share news around bonfires and great food, practice and sing Kido together with participants from Hong Kong, USA, Mexico, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, Spain, Lithuania, Germany, Israel, Austria, Poland, France, Russia, Belgium, Hungary and Czech Republic, all petals of One Single Flower.
